AI Data Use Policy

StudySite uses artificial intelligence for instructor-controlled authoring, tutoring, source-grounded learning, evaluation, and presentation features. AI is not used to sell data or target advertising.

Information sent to AI providers

StudySite sends only the information needed for the feature being used. Depending on the workflow, this can include prompts, chat transcripts, current learning objectives, selected code or terminal context, instructor-approved course sources, learner-provided research, evaluation evidence, or exact text rendered as speech. Uploaded microphone audio is not retained by StudySite; reviewed transcripts are the authoritative record.

Instructor control and learner notice

• Instructors select and approve learner-facing material and AI Experiences.
• Source-grounded activities remain pinned to the approved source snapshot.
• Simulated characters are identified as simulations.
• Transcripts and observable learner behavior—not avatar appearance, voice, or inferred emotion—are the evidence used for evaluation.

Training, advertising, and sale

StudySite does not train its own general-purpose model on student data, does not sell AI inputs or outputs, and does not use them for advertising. StudySite uses provider API products under their organization/API data terms rather than consumer chat products.

Human review and limitations

AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Instructors remain responsible for published instructional content and consequential educational decisions. StudySite preserves model, prompt/version, status, and run evidence for controlled workflows so authorized users can review what occurred.

Choices and deletion

Users can avoid optional connected accounts and optional analytics. Some courses require AI-supported StudySite activities as part of the institution's instructional use. Access, correction, and deletion requests follow the Privacy Policy and any institution-controlled education-record requirements.
