Accessibility Statement

Effective 2026-04-30

StudySite is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all user-facing surfaces. Accessibility is treated as a feature requirement, not an after-thought.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML throughout — headings, landmarks, lists, labels.
  • Keyboard navigation on every interactive element, including a skip-to-content link.
  • Visible focus indicators on focusable elements (custom focus-visible ring).
  • Color tokens chosen for WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark modes (≥ 4.5:1 for body text, ≥ 3:1 for large text and UI controls).
  • Form fields have associated labels and validation errors are announced via role=“alert”.
  • Honors prefers-reduced-motion — animations are short or disabled.
  • ARIA attributes used judiciously (e.g., aria-current on active nav, aria-live on toasts).

Known gaps

We're actively working on screen-reader testing for the student-facing canvas (split-pane). If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us — we treat these as high-priority bugs.

Report an issue

Email admin@studysite.aiwith “Accessibility” in the subject. Include the page URL, your assistive technology + browser, and a description of the barrier.
