Note: During closed beta, analytics cookies are not yet implemented. They will be added before public launch with proper consent mechanisms.

Clerk (Authentication)

Purpose: Secure user authentication and session management

4. Local Storage & Session Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser storage technologies:

  • Local Storage: Stores UI preferences, onboarding progress, and cached data
  • Session Storage: Temporary data for your current browsing session
  • IndexedDB: May store learning session data for offline capability (future feature)

These technologies do not track you across websites and are cleared when you clear browser data.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

5.1 In-Platform Controls

You can manage your cookie preferences in your Privacy Settings, where you can:

  • Enable/disable functional cookies
  • Enable/disable analytics cookies
  • Update your preferences at any time

A cookie consent banner will also appear on your first visit, allowing you to choose your preferences.

5.2 Browser Controls

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Block all cookies: Warning - Platform may not function properly
  • Block third-party cookies: Safer option
  • Clear cookies: Removes all stored cookies

Browser-Specific Instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

⚠️ Important

Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Platform. You can safely block functional and analytics cookies.

6. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Currently, there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals.

We may honor DNT signals in the future when a clear standard emerges. For now, use browser cookie controls to manage tracking preferences.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features or comply with regulations. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Showing a notification on first login after changes
  • Sending email notification for significant changes
